Are you an experienced professional in Service Engineering in MedTech with leadership skills and the ability to motivate the team?
Our client is based in Tuttlingen and has a huge portfolio, including robotics, wound care, and electrical surgery products. They are currently looking for a Head of Technical Service to lead a team o 7 people and have responsibility for the management and control of the repair activities.
Your tasks:
- Work together with team members both within and outside the service centre to schedule repairs in a way that will maximize efficiency.
- Development and publication of monthly KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) according to, for example, the satisfaction of customers, productivity of technical team members, growth of sales, and profits.
- Hiring technicians and planning and carrying out technical training.
- Participation in the handling of client complaints and repairs.
- Implementing quality control procedures to guarantee a high degree of quality.
- Observing individual growth within the team.
- Manage target agreements and support technical staff to consistently achieve these targets.
- Correct application of all internal processes/guidelines and administration of the repair area in accordance with regional requirements as well as international standards (e.g. ISO 13485, FDA, and GxP).
- Ensuring a consistently high quality of instrument repairs within a specified lead time.
What is required:
- Completed studies in (e.g., electrical engineering, electromechanics, medical technology, engineering, Dipl.-Ing./M.Sc.) or equivalent experience/further education.
- Several years of professional expertise in the field of medical device production or technical support.
- Solid understanding of ISO 13485, FDA/GxP, and team management with at least three years of experience.
- High levels of social and communication skills; strong analytical and entrepreneurial thinking; expertise using data to drive decisions.
- Fluent German and very good English both spoken and written.
- Occasional willingness to travel (5%).
- Class B driver's license.
