Service Engineer Medical Devices

Adaptive Life Science has a new position available for Service Engineer in Karlsruhe for the mid-sized German company that focuses on innovative technologies within the medical device industry. This company are manufacturing electronical surgical devices with very little market competition, selling their products globally and with more offices in Asia (Hong-Kong and Singapore) and the US (California).


Your responsibilities:

  • Reporting to Technical Director
  • Installation of new equipment
  • Close collaboration with product management, R&D, sales, and logistics
  • Implementation and expansion of the service concept for new surgical products used in the operating room (installations, updates, and service)
  • Development of work instructions and service documentation, as well as training of service technicians and users
  • Repairing and modifying electromechanical and electronic components and complete devices
  • Carrying out safety tests (STK / MTK) and functional checks
  • Creating service and complaint reports while adhering to all regulatory requirements


What is required from you?

  • High level of customer orientation and communication skills
  • Professional training and/or studies in the fields of medical technology, electrical engineering, or a comparable qualification with experience
  • First professional experience in the service and/or technical support of electronic devices, preferably in the field of medical technology
  • Willingness to travel (approximately 25%), mostly Europe but might include international travels
  • Experience with MS Office
  • Prior experience with service tools is preferred
  • Strong technical aptitude
  • Very good German and English skills
  • High level of customer orientation and communication skills
